Laura Bulatao

Laura Bulatao is a Nia Black Belt Teacher who has been passionately teaching Nia since 2001. She was unwittingly prepared for Nia by her extensive training in music, dance, biopsychology, and law. After studying music composition and majoring in flute performance at the Manhattan School of Music, Laura majored in biopsychology at Barnard College of Columbia University. She then received a law degree from NYU School of Law. While living in Manhattan, Laura took jazz, modern dance, and African dance classes alongside dancers training for Broadway auditions.

Laura brings her vast understanding of music, movement, and human physiology and learning to every class that she leads. Her students appreciate her excellent musicality, her expressive style of communication, and her endless creativity that makes each class a unique adventure. Laura is thrilled to teach a fitness practice that helps people of diverse ages and movement backgrounds use the power of joyful, pleasurable movement to improve their bodies, mental and emotional outlooks, and lives.


Eileen Franko

Eileen Franko has been teaching group exercise classes for the past twenty years.  Her mantra is that the "F" in fitness should stand for "FUN".  Eileen instructs a wide variety of classes and always continues to keep apprised of new exercises and teaching techniques.  She is well known as she has been an instructor in a wide variety of health clubs and continuing education programs around the Capital District.  Her classes are great workouts for any level of exerciser, while continuing to keep the atmosphere uplifting and supportive. Individual attention is provided so each person uses correct form.  Her goal is to make sure every person who leaves a class feels like they were successful and wants to come back.  After all exercise is something you "choose" to do, it should be something you look forward to each week.  Eileen's goal is to keep it that way.  She is a certified group exerciser instructor and certified in CPR with a Master Degree in Health Education and a Doctorate in Public Health.  She lives in Latham and grew up in the Albany area. She is married with two children.

Sensei Larry Gravett is a 4th degree black belt, who has been teaching the martial art of Kokikai AIKIDO for the past 15 years.  AIKIDO is a unique self-defense martial art that does not require physical strength but teaches the practitioner how to use an attacker’s momentum to their advantage.

Erin Radez Lysogorski has been teaching Zumba® Fitness classes for over 5 years. She also has over 15 years’ experience teaching in the field of music education. Music, dance and fitness are three passions that come together to make a fun-filled dance fitness class that’s sure to make you sweat! Zumba® Fitness is a Latin inspired dance fitness program meant for every fitness level. Newbies are always welcome and no prior experience is required. Ditch the Workout and Join the Party!

Hello!  My name is Melissa Montalto. I am a Fitness Specialist and personal trainer who specializes in functional strength training. I have certifications from Mike Boyle’s Functional Strength and Conditioning, American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). Being in the fitness industry for over 10 yrs working as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and team conditioning coach has given me a great breadth of experience. I am the owner of Longevity Functional Fitness, LLC. I work at the Rudy A. Ciccotti Center, where I am also a personal trainer and formerly taught group classes at Orange Theory Fitness.

“The harder and heavier the better” is all too often the mantra of many fitness programs. I believe the most important concepts are proper form, excellent technique, and smart, challenging weight choices. Otherwise, clients often are unable to adhere to a program, become discouraged or, worse, become injured. In fact, this is why I chose the name “Longevity Functional Fitness.” I believe a properly executed program can be both demanding and sustainable.

Whether it be for weight loss, strength gains, or simply confidence building and mood enhancement, the benefits are endless and change is inevitable!

Geraldine (Dene) Reed loves teaching Zumba® Fitness classes!  Fitness and dance have always been a part of her life and she has also enjoyed teaching group exercise Aerobics and Step classes.   Dene is a Ballroom Dancer and fell in love with Zumba® when she attended her first class five years ago.  Zumba® blended the rhythms she studied in Ballroom--merengue, mambo/salsa, cha cha, rumba, samba, tango, and swing—into a fun party—truly exercise in disguise!!  And unlike Ballroom--no partner is necessary!!  Neither is any dance experience.   The moves are easy to follow and the music makes you happy to be part of the class.  Smiles and a sense of humor are contagious!  She is CPR/AED and Aerobics and Fitness Association of America Group Exercise Instructor certified.  Dene is looking forward to sharing the joy of Zumba® with you!


Concetta Snyder

Hi!!! My name is Concetta and I am thrilled to be among the fitness instructors at the Patrizio Center for the Arts!! I will be teaching Zumba® and Zumba®Gold classes. I took my first zumba fitness class over three years ago and was "hooked" from the start!! Exercise was never so much fun! I obtained my license to teach in September 2011---never dreaming I would actually  teach!! It was more of a personal goal. However--as my passion for the program grew and I saw what it did for ME physically and emotionally---I wanted to be able to inspire and help others in the same way my mentor inspired me. I have been teaching for a little over a year and it has been SO rewarding to see the impact it makes on my students!!! I also continue to TAKE zumba fitness classes  and I have had the opportunity to participate as an instructor in many local zumba fundraisers. Zumba makes you move,sweat and smile so much that you forget you're exercising. It is for all shapes and sizes and there is NO dance experience required! You will find that your confidence builds as you learn the steps to invigorating music which incorporates various international rhythms and easy-to-follow choreography.  I have always been interested in health and fitness. I have my RN license, hold a current CPR/AED certification, and I am AFAA certified as well.
